Hot stuff

Theo and Penny are doing well in the heat. Today is so much cooler than yesterday, but it's still the kind of weather that makes you want to lie around a read a book until you fall asleep! Yesterday we had church, nap time, a wedding, and then Penny and I went to a baby shower. It was a busy, hot day and Penny eventually got rosy cheeks, a sweaty head, and wasn't smiling much. It was time to take off all of the kids' clothes and let them cool off. Theo took a cool bath and played in there until his feet got all pruney and Penny laid on a blanket all naked. She loved rolling onto her side (all of the rolling she does so far) and kicking her naked legs around. Today, Penny slept from 11-2:30 and Theo and Andy have been sleeping since 1:30 (it's 3:00!). It is a lazy, wonderful day.
