Playing "ow-side ow-side"

The weather was very nice this afternoon, so Penny, Theo and I went outside. Penny slept in the "Dome away from home" while Theo played with a small container of water. Very cute and pretty peaceful.

This evening, Andy and I went to the moviesand saw BabyMama. Very funny. I won't spoil it by giving any details, but we both enjoyed it.

Enjoy our movie!

Zachary is 2!!!

We went to a party for our friend, Zachary, on Saturday! He turned 2 last Wednesday and is quite the grown up boy. Theo had a great time playing on the equipment at the park and Penny enjoyed snuggling up and sleeping in our Eden carrier. The party reminded me that our own little tyke will be turning 2 in just a few months. Time flies.

P.S. Theo had the stomach flu last night, so we just stayed home today. Luckily he is feeling much better now and his appetite is starting to improve. We'll keep you posted. So far, Penny, Andy and I are feeling just fine. 10:00pm update: We all seem fine. Theo was still tender, clingy and fussy tonight. I hope he doesn't throw up again......yuck!

Yucky colds!

Theo and I both have a cold. I feel about 50% better today compared to yesterday. My sinus headache is gone, my nose if way less runny, and my throat is dry, but my cough isn't wet anymore. Theo spent most of the night alternating between crying and coughing. I'm hoping that was the worst of it. Yesterday completely wiped me out, so Andy is staying home today to be with us and help us take good care of ourselves. I felt awful asking him to stay home, but I know he's tired, too, so I'll get him to take Penny's morning nap with her and we'll all take the afternoon nap together.

We're going to a concert in Bremerton tonight, so we'd all better get feeling well....and quick! My parents are keeping the kids, so I want them to be as healthy as possible. Penny is perfectly well and I hope today is better for Theo than yesterday was.

We'll see.

Asa came over to play

Suzanne had an appointment today, so we watched Asa. It was much easier than I had expected it to be since Asa was in a perfectly happy mood and Penny slept the whole time he was here! He is such a doll and Theo just lights up when he's in the room. Asa is his favorite little buddy. You'll see in the video that Theo had a really hard time not petting Asa the whole time he was here. He kept telling me over and over, "Asa! Cute cute cute! Asa! Cute!"

Andy's Grandmother's health is going downhill and I realized today that she may be alive for a shorter time than I'd like. I hate to think about her passing, but I know that it will happen someday. She has always been such a joyful, funny, quick to smile person. It makes me sad to know that my kids will never truly know her.

That also made me think about how sad I was when Herb (Andy's Granddad) died the May before Theo was born. Granddad made me feel like I was such a special person and I knew he loved having me around since I was his only granddaughter (He always called me "granddaughter-in-law", never Sarah or anything else. It was very sweet.).

I realized while Asa was here that he will never know his greatgrandpa either (Suzanne's Poppy died last week). I was sad for him. We are all praying for Suzanne's dad and his cancer.....I just want this little boy to know his grandpa. All I do know is that this little boy is very loved by his parents, grandparents, friends, and eveyrone who meets him. We were lucky to have some special time with him today.

He did what?

Theo took his nap today in the childcare room at the school I work at. This means I came to pick up him and Penny and they had just woken up. They were rested and refreshed. That meant no nap for a tired mama. :( Luckily we're having pizza for dinner tonight, so I think I'll survive!

Another famous sideways video!

Theo got a "big" slide from our neighbors this week. His incessant chant is, "Outside?!? Outside!?!" all day long. He even wants to skip breakfast when he wakes up so he can go "side outside, bleeeze?"

Enjoy my famous sideways video. I'll remember not to turn the camera sideways someday.

Spring Break

We've been having a great Spring Break. We've visited our families, taken the kids to the zoo, played in the yard, organized all of the kids' hand-me-downs, and watched way too many episodes of LOST. I wish Andy could be home with us all the time! Enjoy the pictures and video!!
